Donkervoort P24RS Designer Jordi Wiersma Blends Heritage and Aerodynamics
Nearly two decades at Donkervoort, Jordi Wiersma reveals the aerodynamic philosophy behind the new P24RS supercar.

What Happened
Jordi Wiersma has been Donkervoort's interior and exterior designer for almost two decades. He works alongside design advisor Amko Leenarts and CEO Denis Donkervoort to ensure every design decision reflects Donkervoort's heritage and future. Wiersma splits his time between Bilbao, Barcelona, and Donkervoort HQ in Lelystad.
“"The Spanish think I'm Dutch, the Dutch think I'm Spanish, the designers think I'm an engineer and the engineers think I'm a designer."”
For the new P24RS, aerodynamics were integrated from the beginning. Wiersma explains that every millimeter of the bonnet lets more air in and out, and exhaust tips were moved to the side to aid airflow around front wheels. Even the headlights were designed with aerodynamics in mind. The result is a dual-nature car: a sleek road supercar that transforms into a track-ready machine.
Why this matters
The P24RS integrates aerodynamics from the start, turning airflow into free horsepower, and showcases Donkervoort's design-engineering balance.
