Scania has handed over the first of three hybrid trucks to the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV) as part of a joint development project. The vehicles will be evaluated by the Swedish Armed Forces across its three service branches to understand how hybrid technology can meet military requirements. The plug-in parallel hybrid truck can operate on its combustion engine and electric motor separately or together.
