What Happened

Stellantis, Wayve, and Uber have entered a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding to jointly explore the development and deployment of Level 4 (driverless) robotaxis globally. The collaboration combines Stellantis’ L4-Ready Platforms™, Wayve’s AI driving technology, and Uber’s global mobility network. The companies plan to work on vehicle integration, testing, validation, and deployment across Europe, North America, and beyond.

The initiative builds on existing relationships: Stellantis and Wayve have a recent L2++ agreement, and Wayve and Uber are already deploying autonomous rides in London, Tokyo, and ten other cities starting this year. Each company retains the flexibility to pursue additional collaborations in the autonomous driving space.
